Remarks: Cool temperatures and rain after planting favored the germination and growth of broadleaved weeds. The main weed was lambsquarters; also in significant numbers were nightshade and pigweed. Early in the season the weeds were as tall or taller than the corn. Buctril and Sencor gave partial control.
